Jon De Cuir, P.E. is a California registered civil and mechanical engineer (C-54914, M-32393) with over 35 years of experience in both design and project management of residential, commercial, industrial and public works projects. He currently serves as principal engineer for 3-1 Development Inc. in Torrance, CA
Mr. De Cuir actively practices, civil, mechanical, electrical engineering where he has responsible charge for the supervision, design and preparation of all 3-1 Developments plans, specifications, engineering reports including: building, structural, public works (street, storm drain, sewer) grading, HVAC plumbing, electrical power/light plans and energy analysis.
Some of Mr. De Cuir’s notable past projects include restoration of homes designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, John Lautner, and Richard Neutra. Commercial projects have included PPG New Coating Facility, Unocal Testing Laboratory and City of Redondo Beach City Hall/EOC & Police Headquarters Electrical & HVAC Renovation.
Mr. De Cuir has also completed projects for the Federal Aviation Administration, Bureau of Land Management, US Navy, US Air Force and the Army Corps of Engineers.
Other affiliations include the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary where Mr. De Cuir has served as a past District Vice Commodore and U.S.G.C Incident Command System Instructor and King Harbor Yacht Club where he currently serves on the club’s board of directors. Mr. De Cuir also holds a Class B general contractors license.
